Michael Owen becomes ambassador of the Pakistan Football League

Michael Owen, 41, has played for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Stoke City. And now good news for Pakistan arrives as Michael Owen will assume charge of Pakistani football. This happens in order to assist in the development of a strategic partnership program by linking the country with the strength of English football.

In October, he will unveil the PFL logo from England’s football capital. He’ll be in Pakistan to conduct a series of football workshops and officially launch The PFL. Kick-off dates and a complete league schedule will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the franchise teams for Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Multan will be announced shortly.

A new era of the Pakistan Football League with Michael Owen

Owen’s hybrid job involves establishing a global professional gateway for a new generation of Pakistani football players. Furthermore, those who can adapt to the contemporary game.

“Pakistan’s football potential is huge and I am excited about identifying untapped talent in a nation of 220 million. I am looking to cross-promote and develop football between UK and Pakistan through the first-ever franchise model league – The PFL,” Owen said.

“I am pleased to see Michael play a pivotal role in creating a new era of football in Pakistan. This is a striking partnership to help Pakistan move the goalposts to the international development of football,” CEO of GSV Zabe Khan said.

Global Soccer Ventures to establish Pakistan Football League

It should be mentioned that PFF collaborated with Global Soccer Ventures (GSV) to launch the Pakistan Football Franchise League.
