Another Tweak for Whatsapp – ‘Disappearing Messages’
Its “disappearing messages” option will erase chats from both the sender and receiver after 7 days.
In April, the Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg pledged to make effective changes to the social media network for maximum privacy. And this features aims to provide a better opportunity for safety.
The company shared that the messages could be set to expire after seven days to offer “peace of mind that conversations aren’t permanent, while remaining practical so you don’t forget what you were chatting about”
The company also merged the messaging options for Instagram and Messenger recently and also hopeful to make Whatsapp interoperable as well. Meanwhile the rival app Snapchat was built on the principle of disappearing messages. With this upcoming feature on Whatsapp, users would still be able to screenshots or forward any content including images and videos.
The disappearing option will be available for the users by the end of November.
