Qavi Khan passes away
At the age of 80, veteran actor Qavi Khan passed away on Sunday in Canada while receiving treatment for a kidney-related condition.
As soon as word of the death of the Pride of Performance and Sitara-i-Imtiaz recipient spread online, there was a huge outpouring of grief. Mohsin Naqvi, the interim chief minister of Punjab, released a statement in which he expressed his sorrow over the actor’s passing.
Tributes pouring in
Imran Khan, a former prime minister, also sent his condolences on learning of his passing. “I was shocked to learn of the death of renowned actor Qavi Khan. After learning of the actor’s passing, the PTI chairman tweeted, “My prayers and condolences go to his family.
Senior theatre producer Qaiser Javed claimed that Khan’s passing left a void that could not be filled.
Actors Imran Ashraf Awan, Sami Khan, Farhan Saeed and Ali Zafar paid tribute to the legendary artist.

“The great Qavi Khan sahab is no more. Though I never had the honor to work with him, his exemplary professionalism and humility were praised by everyone who had the privilege. He was an institution in himself and deserves a state funeral. May he rest in peace.“

Additionally, arts councils have announced that they will be hosting memorial services for Khan.
The shining career lasts forever!
From Peshawar, where he was born, Radio Pakistan, Khan launched his career as a child star. He began working for Pakistan Television in 1964, where he quickly rose to fame.
Lakhon Mein Aik was the play he performed in to begin his professional career, but it was Andhera Ujala that brought him great fame in Pakistan. Fishaar, Lahori Gate, Muthi Bhar Matti, Baityaan, Cinderella, and Durr-i-Shahwar are a few of his other TV plays.
Qavi entered the film business in 1965. Mauhabbat Zindagi Hai, Chand Suraj, Sarfarosh, Kalay Chor, and Zameen Asman are a few of his movies.
