Lata Mangeshkar, the iconic vocalist, and well-known Bollywood figure have tested positive for COVID-19 in a tragic turn of events. The 92-year-old musician has been brought to Mumbai’s intensive care unit. Rachna, the ace singer’s niece, revealed to ANI that she is suffering from moderate symptoms.

Rachna went on to say that the singer is fine and has been put in the Intensive Care Unit at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for precautionary reasons due to her age. Richa asked fans and internet users to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time. She added, “Keep Didi in your prayers.”

Mangeshkar was previously brought to the hospital in November 2019 due to her deteriorating health and complaints of respiratory difficulties. At the same time, Usha Mangeshkar, the singer’s younger sister, informed her that he had contracted a viral infection.
In September of last year, the singer turned 92 years old. Her birthday celebrations were small and intimate, with only family and close friends in attendance. On her big day, her millions of followers sent her birthday greetings, and social media was inundated with them.

Lata is one of Bollywood’s most popular and well-known vocalists, having lent her wonderfully sweet voice to dozens of songs throughout the course of her career. Her voice’s flexibility can be seen in the songs she has sung, which range from romantic melodies to foot-tapping choruses.
Furthermore, She has also won numerous honors, including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke, and numerous more National Film Awards. She is affectionately known as India’s Nightingale. Moreover, she was named the most-recorded performer in history by the Guinness Book of Records in 1947. Between 1948 and 1974, the singer is said to have performed around 25,000 songs. She was also awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor, in 2001.
