2021 came up with a lot of expectations for the TV industry. No one has time to engage themselves in repetitive storylines and dialogues. One show has produced quite a buzz these days with its ensemble cast and intriguing storyline. The show is definitely Raqs-e-Bismil. Most dramatizations only occasionally satisfy the hopes of the publicity that goes before them. Nonetheless, Raqs-e-Bismil has been a superb special case for the standard.
Raqs-e-Bismil cast
The drama is directed by Wajahat Rauf and adapted by Hashim Nadeem from Nabila Aziz’s book of a similar name, the dramatization spins around the lives of Moosa (Imran Ashraf) and Zohra (Sarah Khan). While Moosa has a respectable place in society and is very religious, doing his duty as a ‘janasheen’ seriously. Zohra is a dancer on private occasions. A possible experience between the two makes Moosa begin to look all starry-eyed at Zohra, without knowing her occupation. As the story unfurls, we see Moosa’s internal unrest as he goes from refusal to doubt to the acknowledgment of his adoration, while confronting resistance from his family.

The cast further includes Momin Saqib, Anoushay Abbasi, Imran Ashraf, Zara Sheikh, Mehmood Aslam, Nida Mumtaz, Gul-e-Rana, Rashid Farooqui, Saleem Mairaj, and Furqan Qureshi.

Raqs-e-Bismil story
At the very start, the viewers are introduced to Peer Qudrat Ullah Shah’s (Mehmood Aslam) household. He runs an Asthana. And he has some set strict rules. The one who breaks the rules was killed. His older son Moosa has beliefs perhaps more rigid and raged than his father.
Final Verdict
A very decent and interesting part about this story is that it doesn’t keep attention to just one character. Every artist gets to play his part right and gets ample screen-time to show their skills. Raqs-e-Bismil is a must-watch since it has everything it takes to grab the viewer’s eye. The overall feel of it is gorgeous; the places, cinematography, screenplay, and even the looks sported by all the actors.
