The cultural flux of superstitions
Sonya Hussyn has given an outstanding performance. When her father expresses his concern about his daughter to his wife, she informs him that she knows a Peer who can treat her daughter’s ailment with his spiritual abilities. People in our portion of the world frequently misunderstand mental health and associate it with magic or the influence of Jinns.
The message behind Saraab drama
It conveyed a much-needed and significant message to the public, raising awareness about mental illness and how we should deal with it. The expected scenario would have seen Hoorain’s in-laws opposing Asfand’s decision to marry her or have her treated, but Saraab delightfully surprised us with a compelling tale. Her in-laws loved Hoorain like a daughter and she never had any problems when they married; in fact, she was better off with them than with her own parents.

Sonya Hussain’s acting in Saraab
With her performance as Hoorain, Sonya Hussayn once again proved her mettle; her nervous breakdowns and chaotic moments in which she was literally dragging herself across the floor were spine-chilling and gave us chills every time. Her seamless shift between the two realms in which she lives was flawless. Sonya proved herself to be the queen of emotions time and time again, from her lovely looks as Hoorain to her frightening changes when she had her hallucinations!

The entire embarrassing issue is unnecessary. Maha, portrayed by Dur-e-Fishan, and Asad, played by Nabeel Zuberi, are not Milk-siblings, according to the narrative. This narrative is made up of their ruthless paternal aunt. In exchange for money, she begs an elderly housekeeper to inform Maha’s father, played by Sohail Sameer. Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram are married!
Actors Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram are a married couple now. Photos from their nikah ceremony have been circulating on social media, and we’ve compiled all of the facts to satiate your curiosity.
Minal and Akram’s much-anticipated nikah took place on Friday night. During a ceremony attended by family, friends, and some prominent figures in the entertainment business, the pair formally tied the knot.
Minal Khan on her Dholki and Mayun
Minal looked stunning with an orange gharara adorned with kora dabka and embroidery that matched Ahsan’s waistcoat’s color scheme. Maya Pret’s outfit, which she matched with Ali Javeri Khan’s golden jewelry, was the talk of the night.
Similarly for her Mayun it was a happy yellow theme where the actress wore Humayun Alamgir paired with green bangles and soft makeup and a hair updo.
Minal Khan on her Barat
Minal made her entry to Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ as her Barat Minal arrived. That’s a far cry from the Bollywood tunes that are often played before the bride’s arrival. The groom, on the other hand, stayed true to Bollywood, making a joyful entry accompanied by his loved ones.

The dazzling ceremony, which was attended by numerous industry professionals, took place on Sunday night. Minal looked ethereal in a cream-colored gown that was highly embroidered. The star teamed the gown with a similar dupatta, which she pinned on her head in traditional wedding style and let fall behind her.

Minimalism is more!
Minal went for a half-up, half-down hairstyle that complemented her dress well and was a welcome departure from her wedding ceremony’s tied-back hair. With a nude lip color and dark smoky eyes, the look was kept modest. Minal opted for little jewelry instead of the traditional bridal tika or matha patti.
Given the rich ornamentation on the dress, the earrings and necklace were delicate items. Ahsan wore a traditional black suit with a white shirt to match the bride nicely. Ikram wore a maroon tie, which was a nice contrast to Minal’s angelic color scheme. The pair posed for some sweet pictures, looking like a perfect fit! The décor was mostly made out of white and pink flowers, with golden furnishings.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Mirza Gohar Rasheed shares his thoughts on slap scene from Laapata
Mirza Gohar Rasheed shares his thoughts on the slap scene in Laapata
Actor Mirza Gohar Rasheed discussed a scene from his show Laapata that went viral on social media. After striking her, he gets slapped by actor Sarah Khan.
Rasheed, Sarah Khan, Ayeza Khan, and Ali Rehman Khan feature in the drama Laapata. The drama is presently running on Hum TV. In the most recent episode, Rasheed’s character Daniyal gets slapped by Falak (played by Sarah) after he hits her first.
Read More: Drama Review: Ayeza Khan as Geeti is extremely problematic in Laapata
Rasheed posted a video of the scene alongside a message on Instagram. “I hate the display of physical abuse on television,” he wrote. “This is why I have always refrained from doing it in at least my own characters. It’s unfortunate. But it has been done so frequently on our television that it’s almost become a subconscious reality for us. Apparently, physically abusing women is “fine” and any misogynistic, spineless man can get away with it, just like Daniyal thought in yesterday’s episode of Laapata.
“It may sound strange but the slap scene was the only reason as to why I took up the character of Daniyal. To prove that oppression is a choice,” he continued. “If any insecure man with his fragile ego tries him ‘so called’ muscles on you. Make the choice that Falak did, without any fear! One tight slapback from a brave woman to such a weak man in our society would be a giant leap for womenkind. We need such examples to be made by such women of strength, to empower women for their own safety, their well-being [and] self-respect. A scene [like this] that is so powerful, I hope that its effect is even more impactful on our women.”
Strong women standing up for themselves
On social media, the slap has sparked a debate. While the incident has drawn a large number of fans applauding for a woman standing up for herself, it has also drawn criticism from others. Mainly from people who think that violence in any form should not be tolerated.
The fake sexual harassment allegation scene in Laapata
This isn’t the first time that a scene from Laapata has gone viral on the internet. When her character in the same drama wrongly accused a shopkeeper of harassment, Ayeza received outrage and controversy.
While we like the goal behind the scenes – to inspire women to stand up to abuse — we do not condone violence in any form. We wish the show had approached this problem differently, as it did with the iconic fake harassment scene.
