‘Squid Game’ Season 2 Is Happening, confirms Netflix CEO

Squid Game season 2 is coming soon!

According to Netflix’s co-CEO and chief content officer Ted Sarandos, a second season of the Korean drama Squid Game is in the works, which comes as no surprise given the show’s unparalleled success.

Squid Game season 2 is coming? Definitely!

“The Squid Game universe has just begun,” Sarandos remarked during a presentation of Netflix’s fourth-quarter profits, and when asked if the series will get a second season, he replied “definitely.”

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the show’s creator, told the Associated Press in November that the series will get a second season, but Sarandos’ confirmation is the first news from a Netflix official. Lee Jung-Jae, who plays Seong Gi-hun in the show, will return, according to Hwang.

In November, Netflix announced that the show had received 1.65 billion hours of viewing in its first four weeks on the platform.

The series has 142 million member households as of October, according to the company’s third-quarter earnings statement, making it the show’s biggest ever.

Squid Game story

Seong Gi-hun, a divorced and indebted chauffeur, is invited to participate in a series of children’s games in exchange for a chance to win a significant financial award. When he accepts the deal, he is transported to an undisclosed location where he is placed among 455 other insolvent players.

The players are required to wear green tracksuits and are constantly monitored by masked guards dressed in pink jumpsuits. The Front Man, who wears a black mask and a black outfit, is in charge of the games. Furthermore, the players quickly learn that losing the games means death, with each death adding $100 million to the total prize pool of $45.6 billion. Moreover, to survive the physical and psychological twists of the games. With that, Gi-hun forms alliances with other players, including his childhood buddy Cho Sang-woo.

Sharmila Faruqi to take legal action against Nadia Khan in court

Sharmila Faruqi to take legal action against Nadia Khan in court

Nadia Khan in trouble

Nadia Khan, the host of a popular television show, has once again gotten herself into trouble, this time for producing a video with Anisa Faruqi, the mother of PPP leader Sharmila Faruqi, in which she “complimented” her makeup and sense of style. Though this would appear to be a completely pleasant thing to do in most cases, this film didn’t appear to be prepared with the purpose of being entirely complimentary. Sharmila wasn’t convinced either.

She termed it a farce and claimed Khan would face legal action as a result of it.

Sharmila Faruqi takes action against Nadia Khan

The video has gone viral on social media, with an Instagram page named Centre Stage sharing it. “She’s a shameless woman, I’m reporting her to cybercrime officially,” the lawmaker wrote in response to the video.

Sharmila Faruqi and Nadia Khan spat

Khan appears to have met Anisa at a wedding. “Who does your makeup, it’s so pretty?” she inquires of the politician’s mother, who replies that she does her own. Anisa acknowledged her daughter when the host-turned-actor asked where she learned to do cosmetics.

Khan remarked on her fashion taste, jewelry, and cosmetics, and inquired as to when she began carrying herself in this manner. Anisa handled Khan’s inquiries with grace and dignity, but her daughter was not so willing to let him off the hook.

Sharmila Faruqi and Nadia Khan

“I, for one, will never allow someone to humiliate or belittle any lady, whether it is my mother or yours. It’s sad to see a woman sneer at another woman, especially one who is old and has been widowed for 95 days. At 3 p.m. today, I will personally go to the FIA cyber Crime head office and file a complaint “Sharmila was the one who wrote.

“To all my well-wishers expecting me to take a dig at Nadia Khan’s personal polygamy and professional shenanigans, I won’t be doing that, simply because that’s not how my parents raised me,” she wrote, refusing to go there.

Sharmila also stated that she respects each person’s “personal struggle, private and professional life” and that she would not “stoop to the low levels that most people do.” She stated that this will be pursued in accordance with the law and that she would “leave the rest to God.”

Another side of the coin!

On the surface, Khan’s video appears to be nothing to be upset about: one woman appears to congratulate another. The video. However, was clearly not done with the finest of intentions. Anisa has the freedom to wear however she wants, and no one should make fun of her for it. If her makeup style isn’t to your liking, don’t try it on yourself. Making a film that blatantly mocks an old woman is heinous and obscene.

Khan must be held responsible for her actions. It’s past time for us to realize that we don’t need to stick our noses in everyone’s business and make direct or oblique comments about other people’s appearances.

We’re delighted Sharmila is holding Khan accountable, and we hope that this serves as a lesson for others to cease making fun of and remarking on others.

Thursday Tunes: Kana Yaari by Eva B, Abdul Wahab Bugti and Kaifi Khalil is the vibe anthem of this year!

Coke Studio season 14 raising music standards high

I hadn’t even gotten over listening to Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal’s ‘Tu Jhoom’ when I was blown away and filled with pride by Kaifi Khalil, Eva B, and Abdul Wahab Bugti Kana Yaari for all the amazing reasons.

Kana Yaari by Kaifi Khalil, Eva B, Abdul Wahab Bugti

Because I adore Xulfi, I knew the moment I listened to Laari Chooti that he had the capacity to create a masterpiece, and I am grateful that I am alive to experience it. He has established a standard of introducing TALENT and only TALENT since the Nescafe Basement!

Kana Yaari was released in the second episode of Coke Studio season 14 with a loud bang. Kaifi Khalil, a young Balochi singer and composer from Karachi, Pakistan, composed this song. He is also one of the song’s writers. Furthermore, it has Eva B’s superb, crisp rapping, which provided a vibe-y element to the entire song. Furthermore, Bugti’s beautiful folk-lore voice complements the duo’s modern touch. “Tum ye samjho yahan ishq ka masla chal raha hai,” the Urdu lyrics loosely recount the narrative of love.

Kana Yaari lyrics translation

Ishq faqeerani, (love is of god-fearing)
peer oo muridani, (love is of spiritual leader and followers)
Ishq e waliyani, (love is of saints)
rohdaye khalilani (love is of god’s friends)

Ishq e pirrakay marcha ,tafta ravaani (go and learn about actual love
)
Hum malao mah ganja kaasi, hassti bezayni
(there were hammal and mahganj, go read about them)
Ishqa nooru watarba, misri xhamani (love is better than those emerald eyes)
Naabi ishqhe chu key eytou, kotau oo pilani
(love is not what you and such and such had)

Kana Yaari gadaari (you fall in love and then cheat)
Ishq e naamigaar eda (you are dishonoring love
) x2

The grandiose and colourful sets

Let’s talk about the sets. In the first episode, Tu Jhoom had a gorgeous, majestic Sufi performance that provided a soulful atmosphere with dancers twirling accompanying the vocals. And with Kana Yaari, everything is bright and energetic. Despite the fact that the song is about betrayal, it is fantastic for art. Furthermore, it is about failed relationships. The melody, on the other hand, imparted a fascinating atmosphere to the song! Kaifi and Eva B are able to keep the style consistent throughout.

Creating a different world of cultures

Kana Yaari’s cast of personalities highlights an intriguing aspect of Coke Studio: it’s a place where opposites collide. It becomes a cooperative effort to create a world for them. The sombre theme of the song is shifted by video director Jamal Rahman, who honors it with a cheerful ending with the last chord. The artists move around an internal environment in his video, deconstructing brilliantly colored walls as though removing their own unseen barriers. The song is about betrayal, but we see the joy in the video. This time, Zahra Aamer and Sherry Khattak show their mettle on a grand stage.

Listen to the song here:

We extend our gratitude to the entire Coke Studio Think Tank (which includes Murtaza Niaz, Abdullah Siddiqui, Natasha Noorani, Adnan Dhool, and Sherry Khattak) for saving us from a dreadful couple of years!

Many people commented on Aamir’s troubling take on quote tweets, even though he turned off the responses to his tweet.

In 2018, Aamir married Tuba Aamir for the second time. However, the MNA came under fire for his marriage after a tweet from his first marriage’s daughter went viral on social media. Additionally, after being chastised for failing to care for his first family, Liaquat has finally answered.

“It feels like I’ve committed a severe sin since the news of my marriage spilled on social media,” he said in a three-minute video. “All I want to say in this regard is that whoever has been reporting on my personal life is not only exceedingly inappropriate but also incorrect.”

He went on to say, “Nobody came up to me and asked what had happened or what the true story was. What right do you have to meddle in someone’s private life? Who granted you the authority to do so? I don’t talk about my personal life in public and would like to keep it that way.”

Coke Studio Season 14 starts with Tu Jhoom

Coke Studio’s magic covers the boundaries in colors that have never been put together before. Just a smattering of pastels and reds, perplexing, commanding and engulfing its audience. Coke Studio season 14 piqued the interest of internet users even before it was released. Now that we’ve heard the first song, we can confidently state that Xulfi did not disappoint. The first song, ‘Tu Jhoom,’ by Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal, debuted on January 14 and has received a lot of positive feedback from netizens and celebrities alike.

Following the release of its season reveal video, Coke Studio unveiled the first song from season 14, ‘Tu Jhoom,’ which is a soulful melody that has everyone’s heart in a twist in the greatest of ways.

Tu Jhoom by Abida Parveen and Naseebo Lal

Written by Adnan Dhool from the Soch band, Xulfi employs his musical sixth sense in ‘Tu Jhoom.’ To create an unusual coupling that is so natural that it’s borderline insane that it hasn’t been done before. Xulfi explains that he always aims to provide an element of surprise because predictable things have a short life.

We all know the secret to Xulfi’s excellence, his increasing band of young musicians, which includes Abdullah Siddiqui, Sherry Khattak, and Natasha Noorani, all of whom are members of Tu Jhoom’s idea. This time around, it’s possible that the machinery behind CS14 is also aiming at younger audiences. In any case, everything appears to be functioning. And Xulfi deserves credit for believing in a new generation of artists.

Coke Studio returns as a huge stage this time, with sets and aesthetics that give it a full-fledged theatrical vibe. Tu Jhoom also featured a Sufi contemporary dance performance by Saad Sheikh’s Sway Dance Project in tandem with the song.

Asur Series

Friday Flix Series of the Week: Asur

Thriller is one of the genres from which people have unrealistic expectations. Because there is something to watch out for in each scene, every single detail. Asur is another web series that debuted on the Voot Select streaming platform and created a lasting effect on fans.

Asur Cast

Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti star as Dhananjay Rajpoot and Nikhil Nair, respectively, in Asur. Aside from that, the online series has performers like Riddhi Dogra, Amey Wagh, Sharib Hashmi, and Pawan Chopra. Oni Sen directed the online series Asur, which contains eight episodes.

Asur Storyline

In a terrifying thriller, writer Gaurav Shukla links two themes of violence and spirituality. The plot centres around a born psychopath with a proclivity for violence and gore, and how the psychopath killer goes on to agitate and cause misery in the lives of two key characters, played by Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, respectively.

The show strongly depends on the ‘Whodunit’ genre, as the two main protagonists are on a quest to discover who is responsible for the city’s brutal killings. It has two timelines, one from the past and the other from the present, that reveal how the killer became who he is and how Arshad Warsi and his team are now on the run to solve the murder mystery.

Asur – Powerful performances

Asur is a web series written and directed at a breakneck pace that wastes no time in delving into difficult topics like violence and murder. Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti have both given strong performances, allowing the series to maintain a constant tone throughout its runtime. Aside from that, the supporting cast of Amey Wagh, Sharib Hashmi, and others have all performed admirably.

A little too inspirational?

To viewers who are already familiar with other productions dealing with the same subject, the Asur online series may appear to be a rehash. The series is reminiscent of foreign dramas such as Dexter and True Detective, which is a compliment in and of itself.

Final Verdict

Asur’s story is engrossing, and the acting and performances are superb. It was a pleasure to see Arshad Warsi in a role that seemed far too serious to be true. He is an excellent performer. We’ve seen Barun Sobti and Ridhi Dogra in Indian soap operas, and their acting abilities are quite impressive! The show is great for binge-watching.

Thursday Tunes: Maula Vey by Shehzad Roy featuring Syra Yousuf wins hearts

Love in times of Covid-19

Shehzad Roy, a singer, and activist is known for using his musical talents to bring social and political issues to the public’s attention has produced a new tune that departs from his customary blunt satire. Maula Vey puts you on an emotional rollercoaster as she explores a love story set in Covid-19, with themes of love, sorrow, and helplessness – but this isn’t just another love song.

Shehzad Roy releases Maula Ve featuring Syra Yousuf

Roy’s sorrowful song, which features actor Syra Yousuf, is a memorial to healthcare workers who died while protecting others during the pandemic. It tells one of the numerous untold stories of frontline workers who succumbed to the illness while trying to safeguard others. The lyrics are beautiful and soulful

Maula Ve Shehzad Roy lyrics

Ankhiyoun kinaray
Doobay hain sitaray
Ashk dhalay na dhalay
Diya jo jalaya
larzay hai saya
raat dhalay na dhalay
haan meri zindagi to yeh nahe hai
jo tujhse juda kardey
mein tere naal reh na haan reh na
mein rab nu gawah karke

Maula Vey Shehzad Roy music video review

The song video, which is set in a hospital, has the Mera Naseeb actor and Mukhra crooner as healthcare personnel separated in separate rooms. The song takes you on a trip as they seek solace in one another while separating themselves from the outside world and battling their illness.

The melody takes you on a journey through their ups and downs, illustrating the challenges of an unorthodox form of shared love until one of them loses the battle and leaves the other to carry on. Many frontline employees had little choice but to distance themselves from their family and loved ones when the pandemic was at its apex. Some of them never made it back.

Final Verdict

Maula Vey is a lovely attempt to depict the doubt and longing that people feel when they are alone, especially those whose heroic efforts are often unseen. Roy himself could not have been a better person to recognize and convey this terrible tale of heroes. Maula Vey is a unique production in the love genre, directed by Ahsan Rahim and composed by Shany Haider.
