Karachi, the city of lights, keeping many things in it. Love, seaside, busy life, and of course traffic jam. This city embraces you in its arms after a long, hard day. One more thing that keeps this city’s soul alive is the food. Even if it’s 4 am you can get food anywhere [hint: Hussainabad]. Not that only Karachiittes are a fan of food, there is a lot of people from the neighboring countries who believe the same including Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Pooja Bhatt.

Pooja Bhatt

Pooja Bhatt is an Indian movie director, actress, voice-over artist, model, and producer. The recipient of a few awards, including two National Film Awards. Born to the Bhatt family, she is the girl of Indian movie producer, Mahesh Bhatt and Kiran Bhatt [Lorraine Bright]. Bhatt assumed her first leading part in Mahesh Bhatt’s TV film Daddy in 1989. For the film, she won the Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year for Best Female Debut.

Pooja Bhatt’s Visit to Pakistan

In 2016, Pooja Bhatt visited Pakistan for a fashion week, walking the ramp with the Junoon band’s lead vocalist Ali Azmat. She visited Ali’s birthday during her visit to Pakistan. Both Mahesh Bhatt and daughter Pooja Bhatt share similar sentiments for Pakistan. Moreover, the two are long-standing campaigners for peace between India and Pakistan.


The actor has recalled special moments from her memorable trip from time to time. And shared extreme fondness over the years for Pakistan. When she visited Pakistan, political tensions between the neighboring countries were at the peak, following the Uri attacks. Bollywood films starring Pakistani artists got banned in India. And Pakistan banned the Indian content due to the uprising tension!

Even then Pooja came to Pakistan and spent time with Ali Azmat and his family. The visit was reportedly a personal trip for the star. Talking to the media in Pakistan at the time, Bhatt stated that she was happy to visit Karachi and mentioned that she has traveled to Pakistan several times before as well.

Love for Food

Recently, while replying to her fans on Twitter, Pooja Bhatt couldn’t hold back to admit that Karachi offers the best food in South Asia. She was responding to a post on the micro-blogging site, where a user wrote, “Karachi is the undisputed food champion of Pakistan. Don’t bother coming at me on this.”
