Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli have kept their daughter Vamika away from the media and have repeatedly warned paparazzi not to photograph her. Photos of their daughter went viral on Sunday after she was caught on camera during the third One-Day International between India and South Africa.

The images of Vamika from the match went viral on social media just minutes after the film aired on TV. On Monday, Jan. 24, Sharma and Kohli published messages on Instagram Stories. They said they had no knowledge their daughter’s photographs “are shot in the stadium and extensively circulated thereafter.”
“We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn’t know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stay the same. We would really appreciate it if Vamika’s images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier,” wrote both Kohli and Sharma.
Furthermore, its the first time the public saw Vamika. Sharma was seen carrying her and cheering on her husband, who just stepped down as India’s Test captain. Moreover, during Kohli’s half-century celebration, both the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor and Vamika were captured on live television.

The couple gave birth to their daughter on January 11, 2011, but have never shared a full photo of her. Regardless of how happy people are to see the toddler’s face for the first time, they should follow her parents’ wishes and erase the images.
The mother-daughter duo has been visiting the world-class athlete to his tournaments. Anushka wrote a thank-you letter to the media earlier this year, additionally also thanking them for not publishing photos of the family that they had taken.
